September 2008: National Preparedness Month
In the midst of a crisis, people naturally turn to local faith communities. Since it is within the stated mission of most faith organizations to serve others, it is important that they be informed and ready, logistically, during times of need. By having a plan and specific items available for unexpected disasters, faith congregations can help provide for the well being and safety of local families. A preparedness plan for families, congregations, and communities saves time, resources, money, and most importantly lives
