OPENING OF SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA 2-1-1.  As a representative of the 2-1-1 Application and Review committee, on which she serves, OFBCI Project Manager Deborah Price participated in the February 9, 2007 grand opening of the 2-1-1 regional call center in Lawton. Although Mayor John Purcell was scheduled to place the official call during the ceremony, the first call was received from a person seeking help — a testament to the need for the 2-1-1 helpline. The ceremony was well attended and included state legislators, local business leaders and the community at large.
