111 ORIENTATION
in Metro Oklahoma City for families of faith interested in discovering the unique vantage point of interacting with
the child welfare system is being offered the third Tuesday of each month except December. For more information

As of January 1, 2012 there were 8308 children in OKDHS state custody. Oklahoma churches and foster care ministries
are coming together to engage the many needs of these children, their biologoical families and foster families.
Faithlinks hosts quarterly meetings in Tulsa and Oklahoma City for those individuals and ministries interested in
their metro activities and opportunities.

The statewide
BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY
(Bridges Out of Poverty) campaign, with the assistance of OFBCI and OKDHS, launched local initiatives in
Stillwater, Muskogee, and Grove. Many other grassroots efforts are being organized with formal launches being

WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES
is a state-wide foster care awareness event held on the last Saturday of April (28th) with Oklahoma City as the
anchor location. This initiative, hosted by the Christian community, needs congregations throughout the state to

The Furniture Bank of Oklahoma City
- Inquiries to receive furniture must go through a partnering agency which is either Skyline Ministries
(405)632-2644 or Catholic Charities (405)523-3000. They will provide the necessary referral. There will be a
constant need for donated furniture. Donations are accepted at 3922 NW 10th Saturdays 9:00AM - 12:00 Noon. For
